My name is Archim and I started this website as a personal project to challenge and motivate myself for improving my photography and post-processing skills.

I started with photography as a hobby around 2010 and was completely hooked when I saw my first self-developed print slowly appearing in the developer solution. Since then I used a number of different analog and digital cameras and still occasionally develop black and white prints in a darkroom (i.e. my bathroom).

Since my professional work also includes some aspects of photochemistry, it is also interesting for me to see the ‘magic’ of light and its interaction with photosensitive surfaces happening in practical applications outside of a lab environment.
